About Us
Avvoka is a fast-growing legal technology scale-up specialising in document automation. Our platform empowers legal, commercial, and operations teams to draft, negotiate, and manage contracts more efficiently - reducing friction, improving compliance, and accelerating deal cycles.
We’re trusted by leading global organisations, from Magic Circle law firms to major financial institutions and international franchises. Our technology has supported everything from billion-pound transactions to cross-border partnership agreements.
Avvoka is in an exciting growth phase - evolving from a bootstrapped start-up to a scale-up, with 60% growth in headcount and over 70% organic revenue growth in the past year. We’re now expanding further into the financial services sector, and we’re looking for an ambitious Account Executive to help us scale in this high-potential market.
The Opportunity
This role focuses on selling enterprise SaaS solutions to financial services institutions - particularly banks, asset managers, and insurers - where risk management, compliance, and process excellence are paramount.
You’ll lead strategic, consultative sales engagements with senior stakeholders across Legal, Operations, Procurement, and IT. These are multi-threaded, complex buying journeys requiring commercial acumen, stakeholder empathy, and disciplined deal execution.
You may already be an enterprise SaaS seller with financial services clients, or you may come directly from the industry, bringing first-hand experience of how these organisations evaluate, procure, and adopt technology. Either way, you’ll combine deep sector understanding with a consultative, value-based sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Pipeline Growth
Identify, engage, and qualify opportunities across financial institutions (banks, asset managers, and insurers)
Build relationships with senior decision-makers in Legal, Compliance, and Operations, understanding their workflows, risk considerations, and technology strategies
Develop tailored value propositions aligned to their business goals and regulatory requirements
2. Enterprise Sales Execution
Own and execute the full enterprise sales cycle: discovery, demo, business case development, procurement, negotiation, and close
Manage multiple stakeholders across complex buying committees, ensuring alignment from initial engagement through to contract execution
Build and communicate compelling ROI and value metrics that resonate with executive-level sponsors
Navigate vendor due diligence, information security, and compliance processes typical of enterprise financial services buyers
3. Strategic Account Management
Develop long-term client relationships that extend beyond initial implementation
Identify opportunities for expansion across business units and geographies
Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure successful adoption and measurable value delivery
4. Market Engagement & Thought Leadership
Stay informed about industry trends in fintech, regtech, and legal operations within financial services
Represent Avvoka at industry events, panels, and roundtables, strengthening our reputation in the financial services ecosystem
Provide structured feedback to our product and marketing teams to refine our go-to-market approach and product roadmap
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who combines commercial drive with credibility in front of senior financial services stakeholders. You’ll likely recognise yourself in one of these profiles:
Enterprise SaaS Seller: You’ve sold complex technology solutions to large financial institutions and understand the nuances of regulated, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales
Industry Expert Turned Seller: You’ve worked inside a bank, asset manager, or insurer (for example, in Legal, Compliance, or Operations) and want to bring that insider understanding to a commercial, client-facing role in technology
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Experience selling enterprise SaaS or complex B2B solutions, ideally into financial institutions
Or, experience working within a financial services organisation and a strong understanding of how enterprise technology is evaluated and procured
Proven ability to manage long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, RFPs, and compliance processes
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
A consultative and value-oriented sales mindset
Self-sufficient, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a high-growth, scale-up environment
Desirable:
Familiarity with legaltech, regtech, or document automation platforms
Background in law, finance, or professional services (for example, ex-lawyer, ex-consultant, or ex-operations professional from a financial institution)
Experience working with C-suite or functional heads in Legal, Compliance, or Procurement
What We Value
Adaptability and resilience in evolving environments
Ownership and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
Curiosity and a genuine desire to understand client challenges
