Who You Are

You’re a driven and methodical finance professional with experience supporting finance teams in organisations that follow UK or US GAAP. You’re confident preparing management accounts and performing general accounting duties. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy evolving roles, and are always looking for ways to improve processes. You have (or are working towards) a recognised accounting qualification such as a CPA and bring a can-do attitude to your work.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting Management Accounting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Support internal and external audits through accurate record keeping and reporting


Cash Flow and Treasury

  • Monitor and forecast cash flow on a regular basis
  • Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments


Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable
  • Issue customer invoices and manage accounts receivable and credit control
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances monthly


Payroll and Expenses

  • Support end-to-end payroll processing, including reconciliations and adjustments
  • Manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with policies
  • Analyse expense trends and suggest cost-saving opportunities


Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and reporting initiatives

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Broad experience in finance roles within companies adhering to US or UK GAAP
  • Track record of process improvement and automation in finance functions
  • Strong knowledge of management accounts preparation and general ledger maintenance
  • Excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and computer literacy
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CPA)


The desirable candidate will have:

  • Bookkeeping/ management accounts delivery experience
  • Knowledge of either UK & US GAAP standards
  • Experience with expense systems and cloud-based finance tools
